Passing time
Hello to the little people who actually take the time to read this blog. I'm writing this blog from the mediatheek at my new school in Amsterdam. Here follows some confidential information about my almost daily routines. Wake-up time: quarter past seven in the morning. Breakfast time: approximately 25 minutes. Travel time: approximately 45 minutes. Two class hours (one class): approximately 90 minutes. Amount of time I'm too early at school because of a false schedule change: 90 minutes. Pissed-off meter: a very dangerous 8.5/10.
It's like this: yesterday we heard there was a schedule change made. Normally, "statues & shaping" class (lol) starts at 10 am. Yesterday however we were notified that that class has been rescheduled for 8:30 am. We had no idea why and didn't agree with it because we had the follow-up college at 11:30 am, just like how it was supposed to be. Angrily we headed home. Little did we know that we would get screwed over this morning.
Except for Mr Kaasbeer, everybody was bang on time, all tired from having to wake up so early. We waited and waited... while in the mean time it had become quarter to nine. After a little while, a person showed up: "Which class are you?" "1F, madame..." People started paying attention to the female now. "Well in that case I have something to tell you guys. The schedule change was a mistake. It was supposed to be for next week regarding the trip to Rotterdamn. The teacher will be here at the regular time of 10:00 am." This didn't really lighten up the mood... and now we're all spread around the school, pissed off and waiting for the visual arts class to start. I had to sit and stand in a way too crowded train because off that mistake! The thing is... I didn't like visual arts to begin with... I mean... look at how crappy my drawing skills are - this just makes it worse.
Anyway - I just want to tell you a little bit more about our class. It's a good class. Although less of a good class it used to be. During introduction day we only had 16 people and everyone talked to everyone. Day after day, more people drippled in, giving us a total of 29 people now. That's almost double the amount we used to have! But that's not the entire problem... If we were still a close class class I wouldn't care, but the fact is that all the newcomers have formed groups. The two Turkish people sit next to each other during every class... the people from the ex-1E class are still a separate and noisy group... also the people from the original 1F have been separated partially as well. It's a lot less fun and close now, but I still manage to chat with all the groups. I think I already talked about the sweet girl Suriname... I sit next to her quite a lot and it's just tons of fun...
Yesterday we had Dutch, maths and our coach's class. In every single class I paid little attention and just had a lot of fun jokin' about with the girl from Suriname (and others as well by the way). The material we had to study was easy anyway and the teachers explained it all in such a way you could easily joke about it. It was fun, but I was glad when we could go home.
I'll see you guys later, I'm going to "enjoy" the rest of my time off.
Cheers,
(PS: Bowling tomorrow w00t!)
